What IS this thing??

...rice cooker? Small porto-potty? Recycle bin? No.

This guy in the office received this in the mail today. It's a water purifier that we (Open Doors) brings to countries which help small villages have clean drinkable water. Basically, there's this sand / rocks that go in the bucket, a strainer at the top. People pour water into the "strainer" and clean water comes out the drain pipe.
I read the other day that 3,000 children die PER DAY from unclean water. Sad... This sand fights and kills any bacteria that's in the water. CRAZY. I am amazed.
