I've been around the world...from London to the Bay...

Inspired by Julie's blog:

I've stood in front of the World Trade Center, pre and post 9/11. Spent St.Patrick's weekend in Dublin. Been inside haunted mansions (not just Disneyland) around Europe. I left my family and friends when I was 19 to study in Oxford for a year. Seen Big Ben and rode on the London Eye and been to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

I've kissed a giraffe, slept in a hotel with 2 goats, and seen the original Kermit the Frog. I've shot rifles, handguns, and beebee guns but never killed anything. I've been in a hurricane and in earthquakes; got a concussion & cracked ribs from a sledding accident. I've seen Apollo 13 (movie) 100 times and still love it.

I've been to the Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite, Amish country, the Hoover Dam... I've been skydiving, off roading, to the Smithsonian and Statue of Liberty. I've seen the sunrise in Kitale, Kenya and Rio De Janiero, Brazil; and the sunset in Mallorca, Spain and in Almaty, Kazakhstan... I've walked on the Golden Gate Bridge and through the Red Light District in Amsterdam.

I've eaten Mexican food in Ukraine and at taco stands in Ensenada. Eaten weird things like camel, alligator/crocodile, goat, pheasant, and dog. I've been married, divorced, betrayed, stabbed in the back, and still have hope to fall in love and get married again.

I've been inside Anne Frank's Secret Annex, touched an original Rembrandt, and stood over Darwin's grave. I've been inside Buckingham Palace and inside the White House. I've been in Build a Bear Employee training videos and have seen every episode of Friends. Ridden in subways in over 9 countries, and trains in 4 countries. I've seen the worst of poverty; and the elite of society on the same block.

I've seen the good and the bad, and am soooo grateful for the position God has put me in. It's cool to write something like this and see accomplishments, but it also motivates me to do more!

I still want to go to India, Bora Bora, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Bodie, etc. I want to swim in a shark cage and be on a game show. I want to get my masters and publish something and go white water rafting. I want to help people who are less fortunate than me. I want to go to this ocean where the video Waterfalls by TLC was taped. So much to do...so many possibilities...they're endless...

How about you?

What a great blog. Reminds me of the line from my favorite movie, "You see Ange, you really had a wonderful life!"
Sometimes we forget that, don't we!
