My name is...

Normally when I introduce myself to someone they usually say, "I'm sorry, what was your name?" or "Oh, that's a nice name -- how do you spell it?" or "That's so unusual, how do you say it again?" or, "Is that short for Angelina?"

I get weird reactions when people hear my name, and even weirder responses when they try and SAY my name, here are some comebacks of people trying to repeat it:

  • Angie
  • Onjee
  • Orange (Becky Orange...hahaha)
  • Onk
  • Aang
  • Agnes
  • Anges (yes, with an 's')
Last night I got a new one: HANS!

I understand my name is hard to say. So, let me give you a little background.

Do you remember your first reaction when you heard my name? Please share...it gives me such delight:)

thank you for the back ground! It always helps to to know the origin of the word, how it is used in a sentence, and any addition reference points for the word.

Thank you Ange!!!

I don't remember it being that weird, then again, I can't remember that far back either.

I once was called "Face." Yup, face. Who would have a name like that?! But my last name is very hard for people to pronounce and it only consists of 3 letters. Strange.
