What the sloth?

Up until a week ago I thought Sloth's were a made-up creature from Sesame Street. I know I know, I love animals and should have known they actually exist. But I saw a picture of a friend with one, and so I did a little research (thank you Wikipedia) and came up with my own scientific opinions about these creatures:

1. They always look like they are smiling.2. Their claws are actually hands...which are weird.
4. They can't really walk, and can barely crawl.
They look like a monkey who met a llama who met a crab who met a pug who met a panda bear.
