where were you during the earthquake?

I was sitting in Costco eating lunch with Gracie. Nothing fell. The lights were all swinging. When it was done everyone just went back to eating their hot dogs and pizza.

Where were you during the 5.8 earthquake today?

PS. Do you have an emergency earthquake kit in your home or office? If not, you should get one HERE.

I'm so glad that we got to share that moment with each other. I love how we both stopped, looked around and went back to our normal conversation and resumed eating.

I was out watching kids play games at Summer Spectacular and looking around at the other leaders who thought they were crazy because they felt something.

Most of us thought that a big truck or something went by.

But once all of us figured that we felt it we figured out that it was indeed an earthquake.

Fun SS story though!

yes, i had a "classic california kids" moment when all of the fifth graders clapped and cheered after the earthquake. i wanted to say, "hey, we're not at universal studios! that wasn't part of the show!" except deep down i was sure glad that they were less freaked out by it than i was. it was my first earthquake!!!

i was sitting at my desk overhearing RA talk about his surf trip to one of our designers. at first, i thought it was the guys upstairs horsing around but as the rumble got louder i knew it was a quake. then for about 10 minutes and probably during the quake, ralph was talking about the "northridge" and "whitter narrows" earthquakes...

it was goodtimes. everyone continued their work. i heard that someone was in the restroom when it hit. haha.
